Biography

Amel Kovačević was born in Sarajevo in 1972. He finished the Second High School in Sarajevo in 1991. He graduated economic sciences at the International Islamic University in Malaysia. He received his master’s degree in economy at the International Islamic University in Malaysia in 2000.

He has more than 25-year long managerial career in the field of finances, banking and diplomacy. He was the Team Leader for BBI financing and the Manager of the Retail Banking Department in Bosnia Bank International Sarajevo. He was the lecturer in the International University in Sarajevo and in the Noel-Baker Center for Business and Management Studies. He was the General Manager in BamCard JSC Sarajevo and, afterwards, the Ambassador of BiH in NR China and Mongolia. He was the Minister of Finances in Sarajevo Canton and Deputy Prime Minister in Sarajevo Canton. After being engaged as the Manager of United Bank of Albania, he was appointed as the acting General Manager of BH Telecom JSC Sarajevo.

He has been results-oriented and has the knowledge and skills important for a comprehensive understanding of complex social and economic issues and environments, preparing and implementing successful strategies. He gained an extensive experience in preparation and implementation of the key policies and procedures for the purpose of establishment of a strong corporate reputation, growing customers base, recognition of business opportunities, follow up of industrial trends and adoption of business strategies for optimal growth of the crucial business parameters. He has a demonstrated experience in leading teams of many people in a complex and changeable environment. He was a successful leader during comprehensive transformation processes through implementation of the new corporate identity, products and services design, process optimization, introduction of various software solutions and application of new organizational structure in order to create an affordable and competitive offer characterized by a superior user experience.

Erdal Islamagić

Biography

Erdal Islamagić was born in Pljevlja in 1978. He earned his academic title of graduate engineer of traffic and communications at the Faculty of Traffic and Communications of Sarajevo University in 2004. He began working as the Project Manager in ‘’Masterline’’ Ltd. Sarajevo in 2006, and continued his career as the IT Manager in the BiH Ministry of Security, Foreigners Affairs Service. He has been engaged by BH Telecom JSC Sarajevo since the middle of 2007, firstly as the Expert Associate in Operator Relations within the Operator Relations Center. At the beginning of 2012 he continued working as the Independent Associate in Adjusted Communication Solutions within the then Sale and Support Division until the middle of 2019, when he was appointed as the Head of Department for Service Preparation and Sale for Business Users within the Executive Directorate for Business Development / Promotion, Sale and Support Division / Sale Management Department.
He was appointed as the a.i. Executive Manager of the Executive Directorate for Business Development on September 2023.

Biography

He was born in Banja Luka in 1984. He graduated from the Gymnasium in Zenica. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Sarajevo University in 2010. His career commenced in PE Elektroprivreda BiH JSC Sarajevo, „Elektrodistribucija“ Zenica Branch Office, in 2012, where he worked firstly as the Expert Associate in Personnel Affairs in the probationary period. Afterwards, he worked as the Expert Associate in Legal Affairs in the Legal Affairs Department. Within his further engagement in „Elektrodistribucija“ Zenica Branch Office, he worked as the Head of General Affairs and Transportation Unit, Head of Personnel Unit, Head of Internal Control Unit and Head of General Affairs Unit, after which he was appointed as the acting Executive Manager for Legal Affairs, Organization and Human Resources Management.

Biography

Muamer Durić was born in Sarajevo in 1977. He graduated telecommunications from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Sarajevo University in 2003. He completed his postgraduate studies at the same faculty in 2011, so he earned the academic title of Master of Electrical Engineering Sciences. His career in BH Telecom began in 2004 when he worked as the Expert Associate in Measuring in the Department for Cell Planning, Development and Optimization of Radio Access Network within the Executive Directorate for Mobile Network. He specialized in planning, implementation and optimization of 2G, 3G and 4G BH Telecom mobile network on the whole territory of BiH, and he was intensively engaged in preparations for 5G network implementation, being the core business of BH Telecom.

Before his appointment as a.i. Executive Manager, he was the Specialist for Radio Access Network Planning and Optimization. He made excellent results during implementation of 3G BH Telecom network throughout BiH, so he received the special recognition in 2014 – the Plaque for his contribution to BH Telecom development. As the employee of BH Telecom, he took part in a large number of professional educations in the country and abroad. He is the founder and active member of several sports and humanitarian associations. He has working knowledge of English language.

Biography

She graduated from the Faculty of Economy at Sarajevo University as the valedictorian in 2006/2007. She has the postgraduate degree at the same Faculty in the field of financial management and earned the academic title of the Master of Economic Sciences. Her career commenced in the family insurance company in 2008. She was employed with Bosna Bank International JSC Sarajevo from 2013 to 2023, having various positions within the Retail Banking Department. Since May 2016, she has worked in the Financial Department firstly as the Senior Associate for Profitability Planning and Management, and then as the Head of Planning and Controlling Unit, the Head of Accounting and Regulatory Reporting Unit and the Manager of Financial Department. She is a certified accountant within the FBiH Accountants and Auditors Union.

Saša Palinić

Biography

Saša Palinić was born in Sarajevo in 1973, where he finished Primary and Secondary Schools and graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Sarajevo University. He has more than 20 years long professional experience gained in international and regional companies in the field of information technologies, project leadership and business management.
He is a prominent expert in digital transformation processes, particularly in the field of information security, PKI solutions, digital signature and referred design, implementation and certification.
At the beginning of his career he was engaged as an engineer in several local and international institutions and companies.
He worked as the Business Information System Specialist, Country Information Services Manager and Country Planning Manager Coca Cola HBC BH from 2001 to 2006. He was the Manager of King ICT BH from 2006 to 2014. He was the member to the Managing Board of Establish, the member to ASA Prevent Group, up to 2016. He continued his career as the Manager of Uma Muller Group from 2016 to 2023.
He joined BH Telecom team as the member to the Managing Board in October 2023, where he will work as the Executive Manager of the Executive Directorate for Investments.

Semir Ibrahimović

Biography

Semir Ibrahimović was born in Doboj in 1969. He graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at Sarajevo University in 1996, he got his master’s degree in 2006 and he got his doctoral degree at the Faculty of Economy in Sarajevo in the field of management in 2016. He has more than 25 years work experience in various fields within information systems management and development. He spent the largest part of his career as the IT Manager in financial sector, where he was engaged in implementation of core banking system, electronic banking, mobile banking, project for establishment of business continuity plan and projects in the field of business analytics and machine learning. As the consultant, he managed the projects for digital transformation of organizations, business processes management and IT teams management optimization. At the beginning of his career, he worked as the system engineer and he was the holder of one of the first ten Microsoft certificates in BiH in this field (MCSE). In his next career phase, he was engaged in ERP system analysis and implementation, public administration systems and banking information systems.
He was the member to the Management and Information Systems Department of the Faculty of Economy in Sarajevo from 2006 to 2016, and, as being the external assistant, he was appointed as the Senior Assistant and gave lectures in business computer science, web architecture, database management, basic programming, structure and databases. Last three years he gives lectures at postgraduate studies related to information systems management, addressing Microsoft Dynamics Business Central and Microsoft Power Platform within business information systems.
He successfully completed a large number of seminars in the field of computer technologies, information systems and project management, as well as the program Managerial-Entrepreneurial Skills Development for Researchers (MBSDr) within the Paccino project.
The American publishers CRC Press and IGI Global published his three books about information systems management, where he was the coauthor. He is also the author of several scientific papers published in reputable magazines and presented at scientific conferences.
He is the active member to scientific associations in the field of information systems, IEEE Computer society, ACM (Association of Computer Machinery), as well as BiH IT Managers Association, CIO Club. As the jury member, he took part in selection of the best IT manager in BiH in 2014. He was the member to the Doctoral Studies Council within the Faculty of Economy in Sarajevo, representing business community and students.

Biography

Sedad Avdić was born in Doboj in 1971. He graduated from the Faculty of Economy of Kuala Lumpur University, Malaysia, in 1997, starting his career in IT and telecommunications sector.

For over 20 years now he has been engaged in telecommunication sector as the employee or expert-consultant, managing various projects and developing business solutions and strategies for the leading ICT and telecommunication companies, so gaining a remarkable experience in the strategy development, new technologies and business models implementation, as well as new products and service development and introduction in the market.

Since 2002 he has worked as the Product and Portfolio Manager in T-Systems International GmbH, the global information and communication company which is the member to Deutsche Telekom Group, the leading telecommunication services provider in Germany and worldwide. In 2007, he moved to the head office of Deutsche Telekom AG and worked as the Senior Portfolio Manager in the Innovations Department, focusing exclusively on future products and services. In the 2008-2022 period, he was engaged as the Senior Management Consultant in the field of technological strategies in telecommunications sector within the consulting company DETECON GmbH for the first five years, and then as the co-owner and partner in the field of development of the strategy for new information and communication technologies introduction.

He has been employed by TÜV Rheinland AG (Germany), the global leader in the field of testing, products and services inspection and certification, since July 2023, where he develops and moderates digital transformation process and development of new digital business models.

Biography

D. Faruk Hadžić, Assistant Professor, was born in Tuzla in 1984.

He graduated from the Faculty of Economy at Tuzla University in 2007 as one of the best students. He was awarded by Tuzla University with one gold and two silver medals for the excellent results he achieved. He received his master’s degree at the Faculty of Economy at Sarajevo University in 2014, and he received his doctoral degree at Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST) in 2022.

He has commenced his career as the apprentice in the European Integrations Directorate in 2008, after which he changed to private sector and worked for several local and foreign companies. Currently he is engaged as the Dean and Educator at the Faculty of Economy at Sarajevo School of Science and Technology (SSST).

He is the author of several scientific papers, studies, analyses and documents for local and foreign institutions.

Biography

Samir Čorbo was born in Sarajevo in 1976.

He earned the title Law Graduate at the Faculty of Law at Sarajevo University in 2003. He passed his bar exam before the Ministry of Justice in 2013 and his bar exam before the Bar Association in 2014.

His career has begun in Splonum JSC Sanski Most in 2003, where he was the apprentice first and later the Manager of Legal & Human Resources Department. In the 2004-2005 period he worked in Elir Nikola Tesla JSC Tuzla as the Legal Department Manager and the Company Secretary. In the 2006-2007 period he worked in Konzum JSC Sarajevo as the Expert Associate in Legal Affairs. He was engaged in the member companies of DrogaKolinska JSC Ljubljana being established in BiH, such as Kolinska Ltd. Sarajevo, Droga Ltd. Sarajevo, DK Faktor JSC Sarajevo, DK Trade Ltd. Sarajevo and Argeta Ltd. Sarajevo, as the Legal Affairs Manager in the 2006-2009 period. After acquisition of DrogaKolinska by Atlantic Group JSC Zagreb in 2011, he was positioned as the Legal Affairs Manager for the BiH market from 2011 to 2021 and as the Head of Legal Affairs for the BiH market from 2021.

He was the member and the Chairman of the Independent Committee of Sarajevo Canton Assembly from 2016 to 2022. He was the member to the Supervisory Board of Ekopak Ltd. Sarajevo from 2015 to 2019 and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the same company from 2019 to 2023. He was also engaged as the Chairman of the Secondary Expert Commission of Novi Grad Sarajevo Municipality in 2023.

Biography

Ela Halilhodžić was born in Stolac, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 02 May, 1982. She graduated from the Faculty of Economy ``Džemal Bijedić`` in Mostar in 2011 and earned the title of the graduate economist – manager. After her university studies, she took an active role in her professional environment, gradually gaining her skills and know-how, resulting in a comprehensive work experience lasting more than 15 years in various fields of work.

She started to work in the field of sales and representations in ‘’VGT osiguranje’’ in 2006. She joined international company ‘’Alpine Bau’’ in 2010, enabling her to gain a valuable experience. Afterwards, she was employed with the production company ‘’Aluminij JSC Mostar’’ in 2015, and worked as the Senior Associate in Economic Affairs. After production closure in ‘’Aluminij JSC Mostar’’, she worked in ‘’Hifa Oil Group’’ as the Project Manager. Currently she has been employed with ‘’Bowido Ltd.’’ and ‘’LB Profile Ltd.’’, the members to ’Hifa Oil Group’’, as the German Market Consultant.

She successfully completed a lot of international seminars in the field of business accounting and was awarded the DATEV Mittelstandfaktura certificate for business accounting. She also passed the pedagogic – psychological – methodical – didactic group of courses at the higher education institution. Thanks to her work and professional development, she is the prominent professional capable of handling the business world challenges, her language skills enabled for her to have different possibilities for her career advancement, allowing her to be an expert capable of working in the global business world.

Alma Ustavdić graduated from the Faculty of Economy in Tuzla in 2000, so earning the title of graduated economist in the field of business processes management.

Her career has commenced in 2000 when she worked as an apprentice in the Accounting and Finances Department in Grin JSC Gračanica. In 2001, she started to work in UPI banka JSC Sarajevo, Gračanica Branch Office, as the Payment Transactions Officer.

Her long-lasting work experience is the result of her engagement in the field of accounting and finances in the companies such as ‘’Yachting-Croatia’’ München, ‘’Wirac.Net’’ Ltd. Gračanica, and ‘’Širbegović’’ Ltd. Gračanica. Last nine years she has worked in ’’Elektroprenos-Elektroprijenos BiH’’ a.d. Banja Luka, Tuzla Operational Area.

She has worked in ’’Elektroprenos-Elektroprijenos BiH’’ a.d. Banja Luka, Tuzla Operational Area, from 2014, firstly as the Plan and Analysis Economist in the Accounting Department within the Economic Division and then as the Accounting Department Manager in 2016. She has been the Manager of Common, Administrative and General Affairs Department in TJ Doboj since 2018. She took part in many educations in the field of finances, various commissions for analysis and assessment of companies financial standing, as well as in public procurement commissions.

Zoran Marijanović was born in Mostar in 1987.
He graduated from the Faculty of Law in Mostar in 2011, i.e. 5-years lasting first and second integrated studies, and, accordingly, he earned his master of legal sciences degree.
He started his career in the law firm “Milas, Martinović & Partners” on 01 Jan., 2012 and worked there until the end of 2016.
He took up employment in the insurance company ‘’Croatia osiguranje JSC Mostar’’ at the beginning of 2017, working as the Expert Associate in Legal Affairs, i.e. the legal representative, and as the Head of Claims Settlement Unit within the Department for Proceedings for Damage Management till 22 Feb., 2022.
He has a good command of English language.

Hasan Hasić

Biography

Hasan Hasić was born in Bihać in 1974. He moved to Switzerland together with his family in 1980. He finished High School at the American International School of Zurich in 1992 and, afterwards, he graduated economy at the American University, Washington D.C., USA.

Growing and working in the international trade-oriented family company, he early gained a significant experience in entrepreneurship. During his professional career he worked as the consultant, executive manager and entrepreneur, so gaining a comprehensive experience in the large scale of business fields, including telecommunications industry.

Having over 25 years of work experience in various industries, Mr. Hasić has often been in the position to initiate transformations and to support business growth and new business models. His strategic thinking and guidelines, multi-disciplinary solutions for both market and internal challenges and strong ethic orientation, make him an exceptional leader. Very often he recognizes the capacity of individuals, giving them his support in order to reach their full potential.

Mr. Hasić speaks several world languages and uses them for the purpose of establishing connections between relevant market actors globally. In addition to his native tongue, he speaks English and German fluently and has conversational skills in French and Slovak languages.
